The Autism Notebook Magazine is hosting an AUTISM TEACHER MINI-CONFERENCE 

(both for ASD and General Educators) in Sunrise, FL on September 7th.

Tickets are only $20 ($35 dollar value) and include 4 topics sessions, Q&A Professional

Panel and Lunch (prepared by ARC Broward)

DETAILS OF THE TEACHER MINI CONFERENCE, SATURDAY, SEPT 7 8:30-2:00 pm

4 Breakout Sessions

 * Inclusion...ways to improve inclusive 

opportunities in the school

* Using behavior as a function/purpose...teaching replacement behaviors that are more appropriate, 

while building rapport with challenging students

* Safety...ways to work with your SRO and school team to prevent escalation situations while protecting your student (short presentation)  

* Executive Functioning Skills...how to identify and address challenges in your students EFS 

(used for both Gen Ed & secluded environments)

* Sensory- Identifying sensory needs and ways of meeting the need in the classroom, will be addressed during the Q&A panel

This is your time to ask any question that may be on your mind regarding what you are facing in your classroom, in a safe environment (among other educators), to support your school year and 

professional development.

 Chicken tortilla soup, salad. roasted vegetable wrap, chicken wrap or steak wrap, tri-color tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream and chef’s choice of assorted mini desserts.

BREAKOUT SESSION PRESENTERS

We will have 20 breakout sessions available to select from (4 sessions) in addition to the Keynote Address. This schedule with presenter information will be offered in January. We plan our breakouts to cover all areas of autism, from early intervention to transition, from medical to health/wellness, etc., therefore, feel confident that we will bring you a great day of education and parent networking so that you can be inspired to be empowered following the conference.
